The Escalators have the experience & the passion to work with you in creating the atmosphere & energy you are looking for at your Wedding Reception.

Drawing on broad musical influences, The Escalators can create a relaxing ambience pre-dinner, & then fill the dance floor when it's time to get the party started.

We would love to tailor a package to suit your occasion, but in the meantime here is a guide to the music we could provide:

Ceremony: Thoses certain songs for your Processional & signing the Register. And something to celebrate the announcement of the newlyweds!
Pre-Dinner: Set the mood with Swing & Latin tunes, with detours into Funk & Dub/Reggae. Available as instrumental, or with vocals. 
Dinner: Live jazz & ballads, in either instrumental mode or with vocals; or use our sound system for your iPod playlist.
Speeches: a top-shelf wireless microphone through our sound system.
Wedding Dance: your song performed by the band.
Dancing: a selection of dance floor classics sure to get friends & family of all ages on the dance floor.

From Jazz Trio to 8-piece Show Band, The Escalators have an ensemble to suit every occasion.

Our standard line-up for dance music is a 5-piece band:  Vocal harmonies, guitar, keyboards, bass (double-bass & electric) & drums.  

Increasingly popular is our 6-piece band which adds trumpet. This brings a wonderful flavour to the jazz set & gives dance tunes a boost with powerful horn lines. (Our trumpet player also adds extra vocals & percussion).

For Jazz lovers you can't go past the rich tones of reeds: Alto sax, tenor sax & flute.  Our "reeds man" plays them all with a creativity that will have your guests in awe.

When groove is the goal, you can't beat a dedicated percussionist! Congas, bongos & an array of hand-percussion.

We are more than happy to discuss your plans & vision for the day, and work with you along the way to make sure we get the music mix just right.
